System integration, field analysis and evaluation
This work package will focus on integration, test, and evaluation of the
methods and methodologies developed in wp1 and 2 in an operational context.
The package will through the project serve as “proof of concept” and give
“feed back” to the other work package for refinements of proposed methods.
Encapsulated in the package will be refinement of a newly developed N-sensor
based on reflectance and laser range measurements. This development will
be placed in the beginning of the project and hence provide a constant flow
in the integration process.
The evaluation criterion for the sensor system is the accordance to the manual
analysis using well-establish methods and the sensitivity to detect variations
in crop stress. The sampling strategy will be designed in uniform grid.
The resolution will be adjusted such that the system manages to give a precise
and detailed description of the local level and spatial deviations of the
measured crop parameters.
The integration will take place on the API platform a small self-propelled
platform but also the perspective of the proposed methods ability to be implemented
in the present ruling agricultural practice, will be investigated.
