Foulum 4 June 2004

This was the second of two experiments conducted in a barley field near Foulum. The purpose of the experiments was to measure gap fraction and canopy structure using a high-dynamic-range RGB (HDR-RGB) camera. The camera was mounted on the API field robot. In addition, a multi-spectral CROPSCAN sensor was mounted on the API for reference measurements. At each sample site, the crops were photographed from 12 different compass angles. The camera was mounted in a 30 degrees zenith angle.

At this experiment, reference measurements of LAI were made with the Licor LAI-2000 instrument. Furthermore, the crops were cut for direct reference measurements of leaf area and other parameters.
