The Purpose

to broaden the horizon of each student, i.e. as a supplement to the courses and project-work.
to give each group an opportunity to present the basis of their work and the encountered problems to peers and supervisors.
to create a forum where students can learn more about each other, which hopefully will create a synergy effect.

Prior to the event each group will write an abstract (approx. 1-2 pages in English) explaining their project (clear problem formulation, assumptions, applied methods, status, problems, timetable, etc.). The abstract should also state the following info: Group number, supervisor, title, and semester. The abstracts (in pdf-format) should be send to gs@cvmt.dk who will collect them on a web site. Please name the pdf-file after the group, e.g. 04gr920.pdf

The program will be announced later. Each group is expected to spend 10 min. presenting their project followed by 10 min. of discussion. The language of the presentation is optional.

NOTE: Remember that this is not an exam, hence no need for tunnel-vision and stubborn defenses! Instead, be open-minded about the different suggestions which will come up during the discussions.
